This study examines the impact of 5Mg(OH)₂·MgSO₄·7H₂O basic magnesium sulfate whiskers (abbreviated 517-type BMSWs) on the properties of Na₂SO₄ activated slag (SSAS) with varying activities of MgO modification by incorporating them into MgO-modified SSAS prepared by calcining at 500 °C and 700 °C, respectively. The investigation is based on the strength effect of magnesium whiskers on cementitious materials. In order to provide theoretical underpinnings and technological support, the effect of 517-type BMSWs on the properties of Na₂SO₄ activated slag (SSAS) modified with different activated MgO was investigated through the use of physical phase analysis, pore structure, compressive and flexural strength tests, and so on. These methods were employed by doping 0 wt%, 0.5 wt%, 1%, 2 wt%, 3 wt%, 4 wt%, and 5 wt% of 517-type BMSWs. |
