The study deals with the determination of conditions suitable for the measurement of Na and Si concentrations in binary glasses within the composition range of 24 % Na₂O - 76 % SiO₂ and 34 % Na₂O - 66 % SiO₂ (percent by wt.) using the microanalyzer. By employing various conditions of microanalyzer, measuring (probe diameter absorbed current intensity, accelerating voltage) the authors measured the time dependence of characteristic Na radiation intensity excited by primary electrons and determined the so-called incubation periods. For most of the working conditions selected, a linear relationship has been established between characteristic Na and Si radiation intensity and their content in the glasses within the composition range in question. |
